Web Design approach that tries to handle variety of user hardware (esp Mobile) (screen size, speed, support for JavaScript, etc.) gracefully.

A site layout example that adapts to browser viewport width was first demonstrated by CameronAdams in 2004.[37] By 2008, a number of related terms such as "flexible", "liquid",[38] "fluid", and "elastic" were being used to describe layouts.
