Do we care? Does this represent real Progress, Evolution? Or is it... fashion (spectacle)? Scenes, Collaborations, Inventions, And Progress

• Probably depends heavily on how we define it, even moreso than what we consider examples.
• I suppose long-respected art scenes count?
  • Bauhaus? Ah, a Super-Group.
  • Andy Warhol's Factory? His art is remembered, but how many of the other people?

Mar'2021: Tyler Alterman list: The Invisible College, Lunar Society, Bloomsbury Group... For more recent ones, I would add: Leverage Research (which played a large-yet-never-talked-about founding role in Effective Altruism); Singularity Institute (which spawned CFAR and MIRI); Embassy Network?
