Dirty Dozen Brass Band

Awesome Brass Band from New Orleans.

Like other New Orleans brass bands, DDBB evolved from the network of benevolent societies that sponsored funerals for indigent locals. After playing dirges at the cemetery and waiting for mourning relatives to depart, the hired players embarked on jubilant "second-line" processions that drew dancing onlookers.
