Current Reality Tree
One of the thinking processes in the theory of constraints (ToC Thinking Processes), a current reality tree (CRT) is a tool to analyze many systems or organizational problems at once. By identifying root causes common to most or all of the problems, a CRT can greatly aid focused improvement of the system. A current reality tree is a directed graph. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Current_reality_tree_(theory_of_constraints)
The purpose of a CRT is to search for the root cause and while eliminating it, the whole tree of dependent UDEs disappears. https://hohmannchris.wordpress.com/2014/11/06/thinking-processes-current-reality-tree/
Is the term firefighting familiar to you? The sort, that is, where you always seem to be solving the same problem, solving it for this week and then re-solving again next week also. When we do this we can be fairly sure that we are addressing the symptoms and not the underlying core issues or drivers of the problem. https://www.dbrmfg.co.nz/Thinking%20Process%20CRT.htm
