Concept Map
The difference between Concept Map-s and Mind Map-s is that a mind map has only one main concept, while a concept map may have several. This comes down to the point that a mind map can be represented as a tree, while a concept map may need a network representation. http://users.edte.utwente.nl/lanzing/cm_home.htm
Also links get names. ...connect concepts, using linking words, to create propositions (see the companion document, What are Linking Words? ... from a Concept Mapping Perspective, for an explanation of linking words, and What are Propositions? ... from a Concept Mapping Perspective, for an explanation of propositions). For every two concepts that are linked, great care must taken to assign linking words that clearly define the resulting proposition. In concept mapping there is no predetermined list of linking words. We consider that this would limit the expressability of the user. However, linking words usually consist of, or include, a verb, and we recommend that they be as specific as possible in expressing the relationship between the two concepts.
